For families

One set of times for the whole household

When everyone's phone shows a slightly different Maghrib, the household argues about the app instead of praying. Set the method and adjustments once, use the same ones on everybody's device, and the question stops coming up.

Consistency

The same times on every phone in the house

Different apps default to different calculation methods, which is why two people in one kitchen get two Maghribs. Pick the method your masjid uses, apply the same per-prayer adjustments, and every device in the house agrees.

  • One calculation method, chosen deliberately rather than inherited from a default
  • Per-prayer offsets so the app matches the masjid you actually attend
  • Reminders before each prayer, so nobody has to be the one shouting up the stairs
  • The Hijri date alongside the ordinary one, for the dates that matter to the household

For everyone in the house

Things a family actually uses

Du'as for daily life
Before eating, before sleeping, leaving the house, travelling — with transliteration, so children can learn them by sound first.
Qur'an with audio
Put a reciter on in the background, or read along with the text while the recitation plays.
Habit tracking
Each person keeps their own record. There is no shared scoreboard, because a family is not a competition.
No ads, ever
Nothing on screen is trying to sell to your children, and nothing is tracking them across the web.
Nothing to install
It runs in a browser on any device in the house — an old tablet, a laptop, a phone — with no app store account needed.
Islamic dates
Ramadan, Eid and the rest visible next to the calendar you already plan around.

Privacy

What a family app should not do

A lot of Islamic apps are free because they sell advertising, which means the app is watching your household to make itself more valuable to advertisers. Location, usage patterns and habits are exactly the data an ad network wants.

Prayr has no advertising, so there is nothing to be gained from tracking you. Your prayer history is private, there is no social feed for anyone to appear on, and there is no follower count for a child to worry about.

Everything works without an account. If you do make one, it exists to sync your own settings between your own devices.

Questions

Asked often

Still stuck? Message us on X or email us. A person answers.

Can everyone in the house have their own tracking?

Yes. Each person signs in on their own device with their own account, and their prayer history and habits are private to them. There is no shared family scoreboard.

Is it suitable for children?

There are no ads, no social feed, no comments and no messaging anywhere in Prayr, so there is no route for a stranger to reach a child through it. The content is prayer times, Qur'an, du'as and articles.

Do we need to install anything?

No. Prayr runs in the browser on any device. You can add it to a home screen if you want it to feel like an app, but that is optional.

How do we make sure everyone's times match?

Use the same calculation method and the same per-prayer adjustments on each device. Set it once on one phone, note what you chose, and copy it to the others.
