Prayer times
Prayer times that match your masjid, not just your timezone
Most apps give you one set of times and expect you to trust them. Prayr shows you which method produced them, lets you change it, and lets you nudge any individual prayer until it lines up with the masjid you actually pray at.

Try it with your city
Pick your city and today's times appear, worked out by the same calculation the app runs on your device. No sign-up needed.

The next prayer
The one you need next, not a table of five
The screen leads with the prayer that is coming and how long you have. The rest of the day sits underneath it, so a glance answers the question you actually opened the app to ask.
- A live countdown to the next prayer, updating as you watch
- The current window shown as a progress bar, so you can see how much of it is left
- The full day underneath, with the prayer you are in marked
- A prayer you have not logged yet stays neutral — it is never marked in red
Accuracy
Where the times come from
Prayer times are a calculation, not a fact, and different communities settle the same question differently. Prayr is explicit about which answer it is giving you.
- Calculation methods
- Muslim World League, Umm al-Qura, Egyptian, Karachi, ISNA, and the rest. Pick the one your community follows and every time on the screen updates.
- Per-prayer adjustment
- If your masjid calls Isha five minutes later than the calculation says, shift Isha by five minutes. The offset is yours and it sticks.
- Asr by school
- Choose Shafi'i or Hanafi for the Asr calculation. It is the single largest difference between two apps showing 'accurate' times.
- High-latitude rules
- For places where the sun does not dip far enough below the horizon, pick how Fajr and Isha should be estimated instead of getting a blank.
- Elevation
- Sunrise and Maghrib move with altitude. Prayr accounts for it rather than assuming everyone is at sea level.
- Regional defaults
- Some regions have a settled local convention that differs from the global default. Prayr starts you on the one your region actually uses.
Setup
Right times in about a minute
- 01
Set your location
Search for your city or let the browser find you. Nothing is uploaded anywhere you did not ask it to go.
- 02
Pick your method
Choose the calculation method and Asr school your community follows. If you are not sure, the regional default is a good starting point.
- 03
Match your masjid
Compare against your masjid's timetable and nudge any prayer that is off. Do it once and it stays that way.
Reminders
A nudge before it goes, not after
Turn on notifications and Prayr will tell you a prayer is coming while there is still time to do something about it. Notifications are per-prayer, so you can be reminded about Fajr without being pinged five times a day.
- Choose which prayers you want reminders for
- Reminders arrive on your phone or desktop, even with the tab closed
- The adhan can play, or it can stay silent — your call
- Turn the whole thing off in one tap, without losing your times
Are the prayer times accurate for my city?
They are calculated from your exact coordinates using standard astronomical methods, the same maths every reputable prayer app uses. The variable is not the maths, it is the convention: which twilight angle counts as Fajr, and which shadow length counts as Asr. Prayr lets you choose both and adjust each prayer afterwards, so you can match your local masjid exactly rather than hoping the default agrees with it.
Which calculation method should I use?
Use whichever your local masjid or community uses — that is the one your congregation prays by. If you do not know, start with the default Prayr suggests for your region, then compare a week of times against your masjid's timetable and adjust from there.
Can I adjust individual prayers?
Yes. Every prayer has its own offset in minutes, forward or back. This is the setting to reach for when four prayers match your masjid and one does not.
Do I need an account?
No. Prayer times, the Qur'an, du'as and the zakat calculator all work without signing in. An account exists so your settings, bookmarks and prayer history follow you to another device.
Does it work offline?
Once the page has loaded, prayer times are calculated on your device rather than fetched from a server, so they keep working if your connection drops. Anything that pulls fresh content — articles, podcasts, live gold prices — needs a connection.
Is it free?
Yes, all of it — permanently. The times, the tracker and the reminders will not move behind a subscription, and there are no ads between you and a prayer time.
